Solutions/Real-time Alerts

Alerts

Know what your agent is doing — the moment it happens.

Charton sends you alerts whenever something relevant happens — a trade executed, a position closed, an agent stopped, or a signal waiting for your approval. You don't need to watch the platform. The platform watches for you.

What triggers alerts

Trade openedAn agent opened a position based on a strategy signal.
Trade closedA position was closed — by take profit, stop loss, or strategy exit logic.
Agent stoppedAn agent stopped due to a broker error or a restriction being hit.
Approval neededIn semi-automatic mode, the agent detected a signal and is waiting for your confirmation.
Restriction triggeredAn agent-level or strategy-level limit was reached — daily loss, max drawdown, or exposure cap.
Connection issueA problem with the broker connection was detected and requires attention.

How alerts are delivered

Alerts are sent through two channels:

Web app notifications

Real-time push notifications inside the Charton platform. When you are logged in, alerts appear immediately. Missed alerts are stored and accessible in your notification history.

Email

Alerts are also sent to your registered email — useful when you are away from the platform. Each email includes the relevant context so you know exactly what happened.

Mobile app notifications are not available at this time.

Approving trades in semi-automatic mode

When an agent is set to semi-automatic, it does not execute trades on its own — it waits for you. When a signal is ready, you receive an alert. Clicking on it takes you directly to the relevant page in the platform where you can review and approve or reject the trade.

Coming in the future

Custom alert conditions — such as triggering a notification when drawdown exceeds a certain threshold or when a strategy loses a set number of trades in a row — are planned for a future update. The current system focuses on execution and agent events.

You set the strategy. The agent runs it. Alerts make sure you are never out of the loop.
